Hexagon Clock
Handcrafted from reclaimed pallet wood, this unique hexagon wall clock combines precision joinery with a reliable battery-powered quartz movement.
The Story
This handcrafted hexagon clock was built using reclaimed pallet wood, giving new life to timber that would otherwise have been discarded. Each piece was carefully selected for its natural grain and character before being cut and prepared.
One of the most challenging parts of the build was constructing the hexagonal frame. Every side is made from two separate pieces, requiring accurate cuts and careful assembly to create clean, consistent joints and the finished geometric shape.
After assembly, the clock was hand sanded, stained and finished with beeswax to enhance the natural beauty of the timber while providing lasting protection. A battery-powered quartz clock mechanism was then fitted to provide reliable and accurate timekeeping.
